Habits Successful Investors Should Have
This sentence has been hanging on my bedside, reminding myself from time to time, and also reminding investors and friends. Whether you will make money or not is actually controlled by your own good (bad) habits of investing. Many investors have been rolling around in financial marekt for a lifetime and have achieved nothing. The first reason is that small money may be earned, but they are often eaten up by a large "regret" and may even be posted upside down.
Of course, there are investors who often secretly swear in their hearts that they must strictly implement the stop loss next time. But often after a few executions, the old problem recurs, again and again. In the end, they lose most of their money and leave the market secretly. In the words of Nightingale, this state of mind can be vividly described: "Successful people usually keep the habits that the losers don't like, because they are willing to do things they are not very happy to do in order to obtain the fruit of success. However, the loser is only willing to do what he likes to do, and in the end he can only accept unsatisfactory results."
When making investment decisions, many investors only care about their own emotional "pleasure", stubbornly rejecting all advice and guidance from others. Obsessed with their own bad habits without realizing it.
Psychologists have studied that the formation of a human habit must be repeated at least 21 times. Investor friends, ask yourself whether the bad habit that makes you lose money often has been "committed" 21 times?
If you want to create a new "good" habit to replace the old one, you must have strong "self-awareness" and "perseverance". Getting rid of bad habits in investment trading (for example: guessing the bottom against the trend, using the leveling method to raise the code, keeping and canceling the stop loss order, always trying to make long-term money in the short term, etc.) is as difficult as quitting smoking. However, as long as you try hard, after one, two, ten times, investors and friends, you will start to enjoy and affirm a new self. This is not an easy task, but it is not that difficult.
Give yourself confidence, try again, do it a few more times, review humbly, and adjust yourself. You will have room for growth. Endure short-term pain, and once you develop good habits, you will not be far from success.
