How to manage funds well in foreign exchange investment

To maintain a stable trading mindset in foreign exchange investing, good money management is essentialforeign exchange marketIn China, the strong desire to make profits often makes investors unable to judge themselves correctly, fail to see the loss trap, and hold a large number of positions beyond their ability to bear it. The reality is often cruel. There are loss traps everywhere in the real foreign exchange market, and the violent fluctuations in the foreign exchange market often lead investors to turn a large number of positions into huge losses. Investors' good profit wishes are also wiped out in an instant. Improper fund management will not only worsen investors' mentality, but also expose investors to huge risks. Therefore, correct fund management is the most important part of successful investing. Correct fund management methods have always been the headline principle of making money for successful investors. To do a good job in fund management, we generally follow the following principles:

    (1) For any trade, investors should set a stop loss. Minimizing losses is the fundamental guarantee for long-term profits. To achieve this, a stop loss should be set on every trade.

    (2) The risk/profit ratio should be at least less than 1. Investors must think clearly about the possibility of profit and loss when trading. Try to keep the risk/profit ratio within a small range, preferably less than 1. (3) Don't overload the account. Foreign exchange trading, especially foreign exchange margin trading, can amplify the amount of capital control and carry out leveraged trading. If the leverage ratio is 100:1, it means that the principal of 1,000 US dollars can be traded for 100,000 US dollars. And this function of capital amplification is a double-edged sword. High returns come with huge risks, because both gains and losses are calculated according to the enlarged amount of contract capital. Therefore, it is best for prudent investors to control the maximum loss ratio each time according to their risk tolerance in advance, so that they can achieve stable and long-term growth in profits.

    (4) Accept failure and shift your attention to the next trade as soon as possible. There is no winning general in the foreign exchange market, and no one can guarantee that every trade an investor makes is profitable. Therefore, when an investor loses money on a trade, forget it as soon as possible and shift your attention to the next trade. Otherwise, this will affect the investor's trading mindset, causing them to lose more and more money and unable to extricate themselves.

    (5) Keep profits. When investors make profits, try to keep the profits they have won. This is an important factor for investors to obtain stable and long-term profits. When investors are in a profitable position, it is relatively important to raise the stop loss point. Because if investors extend the holding time of the position in order to obtain more profits, although the risk of the position increases, at least the minimum profit of the investor can be guaranteed due to the increase of the stop loss point.

    (6) Control the size of the trade. Investors should keep the size of the trade within the range of losses they can afford. Although every investor knows that it is foolish to trade more than they can bear, this kind of foolishness often happens in practice. The ultimate goal of foreign exchange investing should be to improve our quality of life, so investors are better off not using money that we should not use, such as:

Monthly living expenses, pension savings, and don't borrow money for foreign exchange transactions. Doing so will inevitably lead investors to participate in foreign exchange transactions with a gambler mentality, and the end result is usually a loss.
